Vijayawada City is well connected by air.The domestic airport located at Gannavaram, about 20 km from the city, connects Vijayawada to Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi and Vishakapatnam. Vijayawada Airport is currently being served by Kingfisher Airlines, Jet Airways , spicejet and Air India. Jet Airways is extending its operation with one more flight to Bangalore in 16th November, 2011
